Corrections

THE PICTURES TO THE RIGHT ARE OF THE SAME PERSON

I specialize in corrections! Let me help you feel beautiful again…

Correcting permanent makeup is a passion of mine. My journey started when my lip enhancement which was done in the early 90’s turned out darker and less natural than I had wanted… but the artist cared and we worked together to soften the look which turned out very nice. Seeing the potential of creating natural looks from the beginning, I decided to apprentice from her for several months. With that knowledge of the basics, plus I utilized my own creative and artistic background I started to create soft and enhancing looks. I began my career and became one of the first permanent makeup artists in Austin, Texas in 1994. This new field was just beginning so corrections became my specialty. I had such a passion for it, even when my own eyeliner had been done by a national trainer in a bold way and was told it could never be corrected or softened… I corrected it. The difference I can make in someone’s life to help them feel better about themselves is the best feeling. I love to share this with others and would love to help you too.

Avoid supplements like turmeric, gingko biloba, ginseng. spicey spices and more. These can cause the blood to be too thin for this type of work- please do your research and avoid taking or eating things that have blood thinning properties if it is not medically necessary to take them.

• Do not drink alcohol on the day before and of procedure while coffee and energy drinks just not that day.  This will minimize any oozing/bleeding or swelling during and after the procedure.

• Do not tan, dye or wax the area 14 days before and after the procedure, use good sunblock.

• The treated area will look slightly darker after the treatment so plan accordingly.

• Do not have any chemical peels, use RetinA or any growth stimulating serums 3-4 weeks before procedure which can cause skin irritation before, during and after the procedure and affect retention.

• Wash your hair before the procedure and if possible have a freshly washed face to your appointment.

• To prevent infection only touch pigmented with a just washed and dried clean finger or Q-tips to apply ointment. using a clean ziplock when applying ice or a clean tissue, use new pillow cases at night, and if you are a side sleeper put band aids on the ends of brows so they won’t rub off walls pillow cases.

• Clients must follow after care instructions very carefully to maintain successful results.

• Once it has healed, avoid AHAs and retinoids on the area while do apply a zinc oxide based sunblock to maintain the freshness the color longer.

• The area will be darker and some what swollen right after we are done- It will soften and the better you take are of it the better the outcome.
